MILESTONE PROJECTS
1) Castle

For the castle, I had fun organizing and drawing my ideas; also, as it was my first time using rhino, it was interesting to get familiar with the different commands and functions of the program. I have to say that it is a challenging course in which the projects were difficult especially if someone is not familiar with rhino and the potential of the program.







2) Surface Design Study

For the surface design, I had an interesting time gathering my ideas and choosing the colours. As I want to do a tribute to my Mexican roots, I thought about indigenous patterns and textiles.


















3) Reverse Engineered object

for the reverse-engineered object, I chose a linocut tool because it is easy to disassemble as it contains various pieces, It is a challenging project, and although it is not perfect, I think I learned a lot during the process, I do have to keep practising to be able to keep the skills that I learned and learn new ones.











4) 3d Printed Chess Set

The 3d printed chess was the most fun project. I enjoyed gathering ideas, but also I got inspired by a computer game called Machinarium, which is one of my favourite games. Also, the printing process was interesting. I had fun watching as it got built (printed).

  MILESTONE PROJECT 1: STACKED SLICES MODEL During my thinking process, I wanted to create a pond with fish, but after several tries, I decided to make a stacked bunny. I like the idea because it is the Chinese year of the rabbit. I have a difficult time saving my rhino file and grasshopper. When you begin a file in Rhino and continue in grasshopper, the document won't link; the document will not open or show just an empty rhino file, which is super stressful because I lose my file a couple of times. ;( Anyway, it was a fun process, and I learned a lot. b unny drawing in Rhino c urves, fillet and tween curves for filling more bunnies between the originals E xploration with the number of slices and fillet size, Staking Bunnies p laying with colours. REPLICATED/REMEDIATED: MOLD POSITIVES & MATCH PLATE. preparing the 3d print (fish vase) to add the plaster mixing water with gypsum powder  ADDING THE MIX TO THE 3D PRINT OBJECTS  ALMOST DRY PREPARING THE OTHER HALF OF THE MOLD ;) WE HAVE FUN PREPARING THE 3D OBJECT, AND LATER PREPARING THE MOLD, THE TAIL OF THE FISH GOT STUCK ON THE MOLD BUT, AND THE END WORKS GOOD.

ALGORITHMIC SURFACE MODELLING + ANIMATION I had fun during the process; first, I explored some surface modelling, which I began in rhino, then worked on Grasshopper.  After the exploration, I decided to make a star pattern in Grasshopper.   First,  with a triangle and find the area. Draw a line between the star point and the center. Love the pattern... Process I struggle to just show the mesh and animated still a work in progress.  Still trying to figure out the mesh animation, as it does not look as I wanted...
